Why "the bell" is important to our patients:

It has been a long standing practice in Dr. Cichon's office for patients who are progressing with their treatments toward restored health to ring a bell. Once the patient is walking in health, the large bell here is rung with the staff and the doctor rejoicing. Thus the saying,

"Angels sing when bells ring"

History of "the bell":

Through the years, Mr. John Marshall Lloyd saw the heart in the work that Dr. Cichon was doing. It was his desire to make a memorable contribution to the Clinic of Angels in recognition of its major donors.

Mr. Lloyd (1923-2008) began collecting bells almost 50 years ago from around the world. His collection has a wide array of bells from outside entry bells rung by hand in Italy to train, firehouse, church and subway bells throughout the world.
