chose to represent the Clinic of Angels, specifically because he feels the
parallels between what challenges continue to face him athletically and the
realities of what chronically ill patients are battling are striking.
Specifically, he noted that it is "all about the journey" not just
about the end. He also wanted to run for a smaller charity with which he had a
personal connection and could see the impact on a grass roots level.
like chronic illness, Jim's journey has required tenacity, resilience and
courage to go through the ups and downs of training and varying race conditions.
He continues to span the globe, testing his athleticism and endurance.
has made it clear that he will incur all expenses of his travels and hopes other
driven runners will contact Clinic of Angels to join the COA Dream Team. Runners
