of 7 Marathons on

of 7 Continents!
On June 26th , 2010 Jim O’Brien completed the 11th
Safaricom Marathon
held at the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy in
Kenya
,
Africa
. This course is one of the toughest marathons in the world at average
altitudes of 5,500 feet and temperatures near 100 degrees. Jim was the
top
U.S.
finisher of 1,000 athletes from 20 countries. His time was 3 hours 40
minutes for the 26.2 miles. Jim said “The race was very rigorous with
dirt roads, undulating hills, and rocky sections. He states the scenery
was spectacular and ran near herds of giraffe, zebra, and gazelle. This
is a once in a lifetime experience with the most incredible views on
earth. He raised $5,000 for the Clinic of Angels from generous
supporters.
